"This piano piece is written like a obbligato and very challenging for the player", she says.
Hence she always reads the score at the concert.   Come to think of it, she made
a similar remark this spring when she played the Grieg's sonata for the cello and piano.
She says Grieg's concerto is also difficult to play while by contrast those by Prokofiev and
Shostakovich are much easier.   Other pianists including Pletnev are said to concur
with Argerich's evaluation.

To the best of my knowledge Argerich devotes a considerable amount of time into
her practice.   She also challenges herself to the maximum level of perfection.
She once said, "I do not detest practice itself. I just have a hard time getting started,
you understand ? "

* Argerich went to the concert of her close friend: Akane Sakai at the Kawasaki Muza Hall
(J. S. Bach/Cembalo Concerto No.1 in D minor, BMW.1052) on the next day from Hiroshima.
And then, she left home.
